FREQUENCY HOPPING SPREAD SPECTRUM

Model # FHSR-B

Developed for industrial OEM applications requiring interference-free, fail-safe machine control. Up to twelve wireless commands via BASE Engineering’s proprietary ‘Safe-Link’ communication protocol. Operator handheld and machine mounted transceiver continuously communicate to ensure signal validity and strength. Any loss of signal results in all active functions automatically shutting down and failing safe. Common uses include latched pumping operations, high-pressure ‘jetter’ operations, concrete construction equipment, mobile crane operations, or any other application where maintained operator control is critical.

System incorporates a secure frequency-hopping, spread-spectrum radio link that greatly reduces outside electrical or RF interference. Active channels fail safe (shut-down) with any loss of signal from transmitter. Rechargeable transmitter delivers 30 hrs of continuous use between charges (charger supplied). Optional ‘Enable’ button requires two deliberate steps before signal is sent (Enable plus command signal). Up to twelve pre-programmed high-side or low-side functions available. Interface to OEM electronic controls can be simplified with factory installed, direct-plug connectors or through J1939 serial communication (other protocols available). Optional pre-wired solenoids are available for Pneumatic, Hydraulic, or Electromechanical machine control interface. Modular components allow for easy installation and field replacement

Radio Controllers Application to the Industry

Controlling many different devices especially those heavy equipments needs a lot of safety precautions. A single error can actually make a great disaster and can damage not only properties but as well as human life. The promotion of welfare and safety among operators is more important in the application of radio controllers.

Radio Controllers have been with us since it was presented by Nikola Tesla in the late 1800s but it was during the World War II that radio remote controllers have proved its worth to the world. Through Radio Controllers, the operators can control devices and equipments without getting close to it. The success of radio controllers were proven in the remote controlled bombs, ships and boats used in the said war.

It was just after the war that many realized that the need for remote radio remote controllers is an effective tool to increase productivity and efficiency among employees. Industrial machinery started applying the technology and reduce the number of accidents in the field. It was a success that leads to different application of radio remote controllers.

Today, radio controllers come in variety of forms and applications, and with the advent of transistors, integrated circuits and computerization, radio controllers have different features that is suitable to every industry. Its application is numerous, from ships, boats, tankers, and heavy machinery such as cranes and other yard automotive. Aerial transportation like helicopters and airplanes also use such technology.

Radio controllers must have gone a long way since its development and will surely have innovations as more and more industries are benefiting from it.
